Autovrij Londen

Reimagine is a new event to celebrate World Car Free Day on Sunday 22 September 2019. London's biggest celebrations will take place on more than 20 kilometres of closed and restricted roads in the City of London, Southwark and Tower Hamlets. Road closures will be in place between 07:00 and 19:00.

Surrounding roads will be very busy and delays are expected. Tower Bridge and London Bridge will be closed to general traffic. Buses will still run across London Bridge and there will be access for emergency services. Southwark Bridge may need to be closed northbound at short notice on the day to help manage traffic.

Avoid driving in central London unless absolutely necessary. For journey across the capital, avoid central London and use alternative routes such as the A406 or A205.

The best way to get to Reimagine will be by walking, cycling or by public transport.

Many bus routes will still be running over London Bridge, and there are a number of London Underground and rail stations just a short walk away from the celebrations: Bank (Central, Northern, Waterloo & City and DLR), Blackfriars (District and Network Rail), Cannon Street (District and Network Rail), Liverpool Street (Central, Hammersmith & City and Network Rail), London Bridge (Jubilee, Northern and National Rail), Mansion House (District), Monument (District), Moorgate (Northern and Network Rail), St Paul's (Central), Tower Gateway (DLR) and Tower Hill (District).

Santander Cycles is also offering free access to all bikes across London on the day.
